Zloop Computer and Electronic Recycling are expanding their business to Northern Nevada and are relocating their headquarters to the region.

The companies will be opening their new facility in Fernley at Nevada, moving from the current location in Hickory, North Carolina.

An electronics and electrical equipment recycler, Zloop is specialized in breaking down outdated electronics turning them into feeder stock commodities, used to make new products. All recycled items are either used for new products or to create clean energy.

This electronics transformation and recovery is done with transparency and hence customers can make sure that electronics are destroyed properly.

Zloop group has plans to create 56 new job posts, but the actual number created may be around 125 within the first fiscal year.

The company will move headquarters over a nine month period keeping the North Carolina facilities operational. They may expand their Nevada facility by 80,000 square feet to meet increased demand.

Bob LaBarge, founder, president, Zloop, said, “We sought proposals from several western states and chose Nevada for the impressive incentives packages, quality of life, and excellent workforce. We look forward to moving our corporate headquarters to Fernley and working closely with the surrounding communities as we continue to grow our operations here and throughout the US and Canada.”

Zloop is creating high paying jobs economic developers like to see in Nevada, said, Rob Hooper, executive director, Northern Nevada Development Authority (NNDA). A company like Zloop creates positive effect on the surrounding area. As the work of Zloop is good for the environment, it is a profit for the Sierra Region too, he added.

NNDA represented Zloop at the Governor’s Board meeting gaining incentive approval. Tom Miller, of Miller Industrial Properties, was the lead broker on the expansion project to Nevada.
