Toyota hires Corgan for new sustainable HQ design

Corgan, based in Dallas has achieved Toyota’s lead architect contract for its new North American headquarters campus to come up in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex.

Corgan is a world-class sustainable design firm specialized in construction of greener buildings and has designed many corporate campuses and other projects in Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex and around the world.

Corgan will provide a collaborative and innovative workspace to the design elements of the campus, said, Doug Beebe, corporate manager, Administrative Services, Toyota.

The contract is a challenge to develop a facility that will pull Toyota team members and associates across the U.S. into a building. Corgan will help in welcoming Toyota to north Texas by creating a home where they will feel comfortable and empowered to do their work, said, Bob Morris, president, CEO, Corgan.

At present, the firm is occupied in designing the temporary office space for Toyota.

Corgan has vast experience in designing corporate headquarters like State Farm, Southwest Airlines, Bulova, Blue Cross Blue Shield and Fossil, among others.

Besides, they had been recognized for design leadership of major hospitals, airports, schools and performance venues. In addition, ninety of its projects are LEED registered and 47 are LEED certified.

Toyota supposes to begin occupying the campus in late 2016 or early 2017. Dallas-based KDC Real Estate has been selected as the lead developer for the project.

After completion, the headquarters will be home to about 4,000 Toyota employees.
