The air environment and amount of daylight is excellent and there is no need to turn on lights during the day, said, David Smith, owner.

During first year, University of Missouri’s Center for Sustainable Energy has monitored energy consumption and indoor air quality to help improve green living standards around the country.

Active House USA utilizes VELUX fresh air skylights and Sun Tunnel tubular skylights.

The project demonstrates that quality, energy efficient skylights and windows can work together to result in a highly energy efficient home. Their principles illustrate the concept of the interaction between homes and their occupants and why it is important for sustainability that all elements of design work together, said, Stephan Moyon, director of sales, VELUX America.
