Clean Tech Competition 2015 challenge for Feed the World

The Center for Science Teaching and Learning (CSTL) has announced the 2015 Clean Tech Competition. This year, students will be challenged to “Feed the World” by evolving a solution to food-related situation that may create an impact to the world.

It is a global initiative for international students that give an opportunity to win prizes up to $10,000.

Teams of students including up to 3 members at the age range of 15-18 can submit written proposals.

Online registration for the competition will begin from February 2015 and paper submissions have to be sent by March 2015.

10 Finalist Teams will be provided with stipend and coordinated with a STEM Adviser to help with accomplishment of proposal.

Students have to present their Models to a judging panel at the Finalist Event in Philadelphia, PA in May 2015.

Semi-Finalist Teams are awarded $300, while Finalist Teams prizes range from $1,000 to $10,000. Each Finalist Team can recommend their educational organization for a $1,000 grant.

In addition, the 1st Place Finalist Team will qualify for a Continued Mentorship Program, which will support them in further developing science education and ideas.

In 2014, the focus of the competition was Solution to Pollution which drawn participants from USA, Singapore, Canada, Ireland and Bulgaria, who conveyed positive responses on the Clean Tech Competition.
