ISM Solar Solutions have partnered with Atlanta based WatershedGeo, who offer permanent closures for landfills and using products, including ClosureTurf.
ISM Solar Solutions and WatershedGeo will jointly design, develop and construct utility scale solar arrays on ClosureTurf installations.
This joint venture will provide innovative landfill closures solutions, helping to develop renewable energy in North America.
The unique value proposition offered by the Company allows landfill operators to turn a liability into an asset, by creating renewable energy after properly closing landfills, said, Mike Ayers, president, WatershedGeo.
The partnership supplements environmental benefits by creating permanent protection for aquifers and drinking water supplies from the hazardous materials and soil erosion associated with landfills and developing cost effective, utility scale Solar Power to fossil fuel usage.
In addition, the repurposing to develop solar, while eliminating the need to cut down forests, place large arrays in neighborhoods or destroy family farms is another environmental benefit.
