Indian solid waste market to grow at 7.14% CAGR by 2025

Indian municipal solid waste (MSW) management market is expected to grow at a CAGR of 7.14 percent whereas e-waste management market to grow at a CAGR of 10.03 percent by 2025, announces Research and Markets.

In addition, the waste management market in India is expected to be worth US$ 13.62 billion by 2025.

Besides, India has kept a target of attaining the capacity of 2.9 million hospital beds by 2025 in bio medical waste management market, which will grow at a CAGR of 8.41percent.

The new Indian Government is launching Clean India Mission which aims to create a clean India, with a mission of inspiring citizens to indulge hundred hours every year to keep homes and neighborhood clean.

This mission shows need of improving waste management situation in India providing more opportunities for major players in this market. Besides, Indian Government is seeking public private partnership (PPP) model to address waste problem.

India being a fast developing country produces gigantic amount of waste including municipal solid waste, hazardous waste, biomedical waste and e-waste every year.

The average solid waste generated in India varies from 0.21 to 0.5 kg per capita per day, according to the Central Pollution Control Board.
