JinkoSolar has signed an agreement to supply 19 megawatts for a solar project in Chile, according to Bloomberg report.
The project, expected to be installed in Atacama Desert will generate enough electricity for about 30,000 homes. The buyer and terms of the sale weren’t disclosed.

In Chile this year, JinkoSolar has signed contracts to supply more than 160 megawatts of solar panel capacity so far.
Northern Chile has become one of the world’s top markets for renewable energy, as mining companies are in search of new power supplies from here.
It is estimated that, in 2014, installations in Chile will rise to as much as 574 megawatts, which is up from 9 megawatts last year.
Recently, JinkoSolar has announced that it will supply 21.5MW PV solar modules for the construction of the Searchlight solar project located near Searchlight, NV.

The project was acquired by an affiliate of D. E. Shaw Renewable Investments (DESRI) and Bright Plain Renewable Energy (BPRE) from American Capital Energy, responsible for the initial project development.
In addition, Signal Energy will be providing EPC, operation and maintenance services after project completion.
