BYD Motors will roll out one of its new electric buses in Long Beach, California on 3rd December for a tour with press and guests.

The 60-foot electric bus can carry 120 passengers. It will be driven from BYD’s factory in Lancaster where it was designed and built and end with a reception showcasing BYD’s ZERO-emissions, all-electric cars and buses.

This all-electric bus can travel up to 170 miles on a single charge.

BYD will introduce the first five of LA METRO’s twenty-five 40-foot, 100 percent Battery Electric transit buses in early January 2015.

In addition, BYD has also deployed 13 of their 40-foot electric buses for Stanford University’s campus shuttle routes.

METRO is proving that they are one of the nation’s leaders in clean public transportation, stated, Micheal Austin, vice president, BYD America.

Each BYD electric bus eliminates the equivalent emissions of 33 fossil fuel cars every day. Now, Los Angeles METRO will annually experience fuel and maintenance savings of $35,000.00 per bus.
