Electronic Recyclers International (ERI), a U.S company specializing in electronic waste recycling, is hiring 205 new employees for five locations in the coming weeks.

As the economy recovered ERI grew to new locations, and there was dearth of manpower to handle the growing e-waste recycling initiatives.

With holiday season on, ERI expects a surge in e-waste as people discard many old items to welcome new gifts.

ERI’s Plainfield, Indiana location will hire 50 new people. The company’s Aurora, Colorado and Auburn, Washington locations will also each be adding up to 15 new employees.

The new positions are offered at various levels including Managerial positions, Assistant Manager, CRT Dismantler, E-Scrap Sorter, Forklift Operator, Repair Specialists and many other warehouse positions, a statement from the company said.

“Our business continues to progressively expand as more businesses and individuals want to responsibly recycle their electronics. We continue to grow at each of our locations around the country as the economy continues to recover,” said John Shegerian, ERI’s Chairman and CEO.

“A big year is expected for consumer electronics in retail,” added Shegerian. “When the thousands of people come wanting to unload their unwanted electronics, we will need to be ready!”

Electronic Recyclers International  has recycled one billion pounds of electronic and large appliance waste in just six years.
