Landis+Gyr have released the Version 3.6 of Power Center, operating software for demand response and load management applications.

This software supports the Gridstream RF network technology used in L530 and L570 load control switches and the L430 programmable communicating thermostat used in Landis+Gyr.

Utilities, with an existing Gridstream can integrate the AMI network and apply for load management activities, which will help in reducing the operational cost.

With the help of Power Center, utilities can operate a virtual peak plant by combining a large number of loads into a dispatchable resource.

Other main features of the 3.6 version are its ability to see, in near-real time, the load available for limitation, the flexibility in scheduling load control events, and advanced cycling strategies.

In addition, there are applications for consumers to program appliances to gain energy efficiency or to predominate the control schedules using the Home Energy Manager portal and mobile application.

There are options available like redesign of conservation event details page and new customer search screens to improve ease of use.

Besides, more utility specific configuration options for devices are enabled through this feature.

The utilities can leverage the functionality of their existing smart grid networks or operate devices over public networks with the help of Landis+Gyr’s load management solutions.

The utilities can take advantage of robust tools that make demand response programs easier to implement and more effective.
