Gamesa inks 100 MW wind turbines deal with Orange Renewable Power

Gamesa announced its deal to supply 100 MW of wind turbines –50 units of 2MW — in two phases for Orange Renewable Power’s plant in Maharashtra, India.

Orange Renewable Power, a company promoted by Singapore-based AT Holdings, will complete the first phase of 50 MW of the project in March 2015. The second phase of 50 MW is scheduled to be commissioned by June 2015.

As per the wind turbine deal, Gamesa will be responsible for the supply, erection and commissioning of turbines, in addition to operations and maintenance agreement.

The initiative is part of AT Holding’s strategy to develop 1000 MW portfolio of renewable energy assets including wind, solar and small hydro power by 2017.

Last week, Gamesa has finalized another deal to supply 46 MW of wind turbines for three Indian farms. The company is delivering 23 of its G97- 2 MW turbines.

Around 12 turbines will be provided for Ramnagar wind plant while seven will be erected at the Lingsagur wind farm. The remaining four will be installed at the Chandargh farm.
