Lithium Iron Phosphate (LiFePO4) battery maker AspectSolar has developed a portable power solution for homes.

The 1500Wh/1500-watt pure sine wave generator offers power independence during grid supply outage.

The batteries are able to power lights, appliances and communication devices, among other things. Named PoweRack 1500, the system is compact, lightweight and integrated with the durable LiFePO4 green battery technology, the company has stated.

The battery system weighs 63 pounds, which is half the weight of comparable products. Its design makes for easy transportation. The system can be powered by means of its internal or external chargers, solar panels or car battery. The batteries are able to recharge to full power in eight hours.

PoweRack 1500 is able to provide uninterruptible power supply at 1.5 kilowatts for about an hour. It is almost four times longer than products of comparable specifications, the company has stated.

The features of the LiFePO4 batteries include more than 2,000 cycles that is thrice that of lead-acid power storage solutions. The batteries also have self-discharge rate of less than 2 percent per month, which is far below existing products. The product thereby ensures long shelf life and power when needed. “Its 1500W continuous, 3000W peak output ensures tolerance of momentary power demand,” the company has stated.

One other feature that PowerRack 1500 offers is that it can be easily expanded to 4.5kWh, which is higher than its competitors.
