Global photovoltaic inverter company SolarEdge Technologies has launched an HD-Wave inverter technology.
The new technology, the company claims, will reduce the size of the the magnetics of the inverter through the use of advanced digital processing.
And the inverter is designed to increase reliability and optimize the performance of solar energy systems to efficiency of 99 percent and above. The increase will provide more solar power at lower cost, a statement says.
The first inverters designed using the new HD-Wave technology of SolarEdge will be available in the market beginning December. However, the technology will be unveiled at Solar Power International in Anaheim, California, being held from September 14 to 17, the statement adds.
Recent industry reports suggest that the solar inverter market could grow to $7 billion in 2015.
