Landis+Gyr has launched version 3.5 of Gridstream Meter Data Management System (MDMS) with advanced data storage design and better performance.

The system is introduced with improved operations in on-demand commands and enhanced user interface.

Being a meter data management platform, Gridstream MDMS validates the integrity of data, automating its movement between utility systems and advanced metering head-end systems.

In addition, in version 3.5, the Data Synchronization Engine design has been changed to provide easier integration of master data.

This improves the process for registering changes in meter status, such as new meter or service connections.

Other features include accelerated handling of on-demand commands to the AMI network and performance improvements for the SmartData for Outage Management extension to boost scalability of the application.

The product is easier to implement in various platforms due to continuous improvements in Gridstream MDMS meter data processing method and user interface complemented commands.

In addition, Gridstream MDMS has extended features such as multi-language support for expanded global usability.

Gridstream MDMS is the meter data management solution that supports advanced metering deployments globally.

It currently processes data for more than 57 million metering endpoints at utilities.

Recently, landis+Gyr has entered into a partnership with Ericsson to support the smart metering and smart grid transformation projects in the Middle East.

Middle East utilities will benefit from the smart metering solutions offered by this partnership, by delivering key data needed for active relationships with end-consumers.

The joint effort focuses on enhancing energy efficiency of utilities in the region by providing better service standards.

The aim of the venture is to create smart energy networks that can manage vast amounts of data, which will result in efficient grid and energy consumption management and integration of renewable energy sources.
