ET Solar Chile has formed a consortium with WEG to deliver turnkey PV solutions in Brazil.
WEG is a leading industrial house in Brazil.
The consortium will leverage the local manufacturing strength of WEG and the EPC experience of ET Solar for offering turnkey solutions for their PV pipelines in Brazil. It will also offer O&M services.
ET Solar said the consortium has already started working with customers for tailoring solutions to their specific needs, and anticipates kicking off construction activities in Q1 2016.
“The consortium grants access to the Brazilian market with compliance with BNDES content requirements. Our partnership comes at a time when Brazil is giving signals of embracing PV as a viable and cost effective alternative to their energy matrix,” said Jaime Portaluppi, managing director for ET Solar Latin America.
