India seeks EoI for assessing impact of solar pumps and solar home lighting

India Government is seeking Expression of Interest (EOI) for conducting Technical & performance evaluation and social-economic impact assessment of Solar Pumps and Solar Home Lighting Systems installed through SNA and NABARD under Off-grid and Decentralized Solar Power Applications Program.

The last date for submitting your EoI is January 8, 2018.

Background

The MNRE Ministry is promoting the use of Off Grid Solar PV systems in the country for individual / community / institutional users. The reduction in the diesel or other fossil fuels for power generation is also one of the key objectives of the program.

MNRE ministry is providing Central Financial Assistance (CFA) to implementing agencies for deployment of SPV home lighting systems, Solar street lights, Solar pumps, power packs and other solar applications to meet out the electricity and lighting needs of the individual in the rural areas.

One of the implementing agency for lighting system and pump is NABARD through which CFA of 40 percent of the benchmark cost was being provided. The other implementing agencies are SNAs through which CFA of 30 percent was being given.

The purpose of the study is to conduct technical & performance evaluation and social-economic impact assessment of solar pumps and solar home lighting systems installed through SNA and NABARD under Off-grid and Decentralized Solar Power Applications Program during 2011-12 to 2016-17.
