JinkoSolar Holding has supplied 12.7 MW of PV modules to Hitachi Systems for a solar plant owned by Farmdo Corporation in Ulan Bator, Mongolia.

JinkoSolar delivered 12.7 MW of its PERC modules and custom built 36-cell and 48-cell dual glass modules.

Mongolia’s first utility scale solar plant, which covers 28 hectares of land, will be connected to the grid in November 2017.

Supported by the Japanese Ministry of the Environment, 40 percent of the project’s construction fees will be financed using a government subsidy. JinkoSolar is currently bidding as a competitive candidate for two other projects managed by Hitachi Systems where construction is expected to begin in 2018.

“JinkoSolar’s global presence, extensive experience in solar power generation, products and strong R&D capabilities ensure that their modules will work reliably even in the harshest of environments,” said Fujimoto Kazuaki, division general manager of Hitachi Systems’ Facility Solutions Division.

JinkoSolar said it built a vertically integrated solar product value chain, with an integrated annual capacity of 6.0 GW for silicon ingots and wafers, 4.5 GW for solar cells, and 7.5 GW for solar modules, as of June 30, 2017.
