Chinese photovoltaic solutions provider ReneSola is to supply solar PV modules for 30 MW capacity to a utility-scale project in the UK.

Cofely Solar Technics, the project developer, will be installing the modules at the ground-mounted solar project in Nottinghamshire.

The companies haven’t disclosed the value of the deal but have stated that ReneSola will be supplying its high-efficiency 260-W Virtus II solar modules manufactured in Poland under the terms of the agreement.

The company will be delivering the modules between July and September. Earlier this month, the company sold its 13.5-MW Wedgehill solar power plant to an unnamed local solar energy generator.

The Chinese module manufacturer, which focuses on energy-efficient photovoltaic products, has completed a series of deals in July besides the sale of Wedgehill project.

The company has also announced the sale of Field House, its 6.4-megawatt solar project in the United Kingdom, which was grid connected in March.

The project which qualifies for the 1.4 ROC scheme of the UK was bought by Foresight Group, an infrastructure and private equity investment manager.

The sale was part of the company’s stated policy to focus on downstream services and projects.

July also saw ReneSola sign an agreement to supply its Virtus II solar modules for combined capacity of 20 megawatts to a group of utility-scale projects in Germany.

The company did not name the buyer, only referred to as an EPC company in Europe, and stated that it will begin delivery of the modules from July and complete the process by August.

ReneSola also completed a deal in Japan earlier this month. The company acquired the development rights for 22.5 MW capacity of ground-mounted, utility-scale solar projects in Japan.

It now plans to continue its expansion in downstream projects in Japan.

The photovoltaics company had shown a 1.6 percent increase in its module shipments from the fourth quarter of 2014. Total solar module shipments were 496.4 megawatts and total solar wafer and module shipments in Q1, 2015 were 691.5 MW, the company stated in its quarterly report.
