DuPont Photovoltaic Solutions along with TSEC will showcase its latest V-Series high-efficiency solar panels at PV Expo 2015 held this week in Tokyo, Japan.

The V-Series solar cells use DuPont Solamet photovoltaic metallization pastes in order to achieve more efficient conversion of sunlight to electrical energy, helping to improve the panel’s power output.

By applying new Solamet silver pastes on the front and rear side will help to achieve an additional 0.15 percent conversion efficiency for TSEC which will increase the total to 21 percent, a highest value recorded so far for these series of solar cells.

The increased efficiency helps to improve the power output of the V-Series panels to around 300- 360 watts in 60-cell and 72-cell configurations, respectively.

Besides, higher efficiency helps in lowering overall system costs, improving the return on investment for solar energy systems.

In addition, the panels are protected by DuPont Tedlar polyvinyl fluoride film-based backsheets with a life span of at least 25 years, ensuring quality output under all-weather conditions.

Earlier in 2014, TSEC entered into collaboration with DuPont for producing customized silver paste materials working at lower temperature which will boost the efficiency of TSEC’s proprietary Passivated Emitter and Rear Cell (PERC) solar cell architecture.

TSEC has recently invested in research and development to boost the efficiency and to work more closely with governments and research institutions for technology development that will benefit key solar growth markets like UK and Japan.

With 720 MW of annual renewable capacity, TSEC comes among the world’s top 20 solar cell manufacturers.

DuPont supplies advanced materials including DuPont Solamet photovoltaic metallization pastes and DuPont Tedlar polyvinyl fluoride films to solar energy industry.
