Applied CleanTech to install waste water treatment systems for Zfat and Bet-Shemesh

By Greentech Lead Middle East : Applied CleanTech, a
provider of technology for recycling solids from waste water into quality
commodities, has signed two significant contracts to install its waste
water treatment systems with municipal water authorities.

The first contract is for the installation of ACT
SRS (Sewage Recycling System) for the WWTP in Zfat. The second contract signed
with Bet-Shemesh’s local water authority is for the installation of a WWTP
system.

Zfat WWTP handles the waste water for 30,000 residents
and the Bet-Shemesh’s local water authority is handling the waste water of over
60,000 residents.

Applied’s solution reduces over 30 percent of operational
costs for waste water treatment facilities and recycles quality
commodities from municipal waste water solids.

Applied CleanTech’s process recycles the solids from the
waste water into high quality commodity products that can be used for a variety
of renewable products (cellulose based) for the paper and other industries. The
entire operation is also entitled to Quality of Environment stock due to the
reduction of GHG emissions and creation of alternative source (CDM).

“In the past few months we recognized a level of
maturity of the market for our novel technology. We believe that now is the
time to expand our activity and start operating overseas by establishing
partnerships around the world with leading investors and partners,” said
Refael Aharon, CEO of Applied CleanTech.

Recently Applied CleanTech signed license agreements with
two distributors, one in Israel and one a joint Jordanian and Palestinian
Authorities (PA) group. The Israeli distributors will install ACT systems in at
least 3 facilities during 2012. The Jordanian PA distributors have committed to
orders in a minimum of 5 facilities during the next two years.
