Chennai-based business conglomerate Murugappa Group and Japan-based water treatment engineering services company Organo Group have formed a joint venture to build industrial water treatment solutions.
Organo Group will hold 49 per cent of the joint venture. The water treatment engineering services of Murugappa Group is handled by its subsidiary Polutech.
Besides manufacture of water treatment equipment Polutech is also involved in designing systems for water treatment.
Organo, in turn, provides water treatment systems and chemicals to a wide range of industries. The Tokyo-based conglomerate has three core businesses — sales of water treatment systems, maintenance and management of delivered systems, and sales of standard products and chemicals, Economic Times has reported.
