Inox Wind sets up 800 MW blade facility in Madhya Pradesh

Inox Wind, a wind energy solutions provider, has commissioned its 800 MW blade facility at its manufacturing unit at Barwani district in Madhya Pradesh.

The production capacity of the blade facility will be 400 rotor blade sets. It will have a capacity of manufacturing 400 nacelles and hubs, 300 towers. The new unit will double Inox Wind’s production capacity to 1,600 MW per year.

The manufacturing plant is expected to drive investments in Madhya Pradesh and provide direct and indirect employment to 5,000 people in the state.

The manufacturing facility will enhance production of the company’s 100 meter rotor dia product and enable manufacturing of its 113 meter rotor dia product. The facility will aid in efficient transportation of equipment to several wind rich sites in the country.

Inox Wind manufactures key components of Wind Turbine Generators in-house to maintain quality, advanced technology, reliability and cost competitiveness.

Some of the main clients of Inox Wind include Tata Power, Ostro Energy, Continuum Wind, CESC, GMDC etc.

The enhanced capacity will enable the company to maintain its position as the leading manufacturer of wind turbine generators in India,” said Kailash Tarachandani, chief executive officer of Inox Wind.

Inox Wind manufactures Blades and Tubular Towers near Ahmedabad in Gujarat, for Hubs and Nacelles at Una in Himachal Pradesh and nacelles, hubs, blades and towers at Barwani in Madhya Pradesh.
