Vestas bags wind turbine order in China

Vestas announced it has won new order for wind turbines from new customer Jiangsu Sinojit Wind Energy Technology, a leading Chinese group of research, development and production of large-scale wind turbine castings.

Vestas have supplied the V110-2.0 MW turbines with Power Optimized Mode of 2.2 MW. The contract also includes Active Output Management 4000 (AOM4000) service contract, guaranteeing a defined level of availability and performance.

The turbines will be used for Xuanhuihe project in Yanshan County of northern China’s Hebei Province.

Further, the order also includes VestasOnline Business, the SCADA system for data-driven monitoring and preventive maintenance. Turbine delivery is expected to begin in the fourth quarter of 2017.

“Sinojit is a Vestas supplier and we are honored to provide the turbines for their first wind power plant. Through our cooperation, we have built a high level of trust and we look forward to support Sinojit in developing wind parks and hereby strengthen our partnership further,” said Kebao Yang, president of Vestas China.

With today’s announcements, Vestas has announced around 475 MW of orders in China in 2017.
