Wind turbine manufacturer Vestas is to supply 56 V117-3.3 MW turbines to a wind farm at Atacama in Chile.

The company will supply and install the turbines besides signing a five-year service agreement. Vestas has stated that it will complete the delivery of turbines in the first quarter of next year and complete commissioning by the end of 2016.

The company has also won an order for 12 V112-3.3 MW wind turbines in Denmark. The turbines are to be installed at western Jutland near Vemb, in the Holstebro municipality.

Vestas will also handle installation and commissioning of turbines at the 39-megawatt project as part of the agreement. The supply order has been given by Skovgaard Invest a long-time customer of Vestas, the company has stated. After commissioning the project the company will also undertake a 15-year full-scope Vestas Active Output Management (AOM 5000) service.

Earlier, Vestas delivered wind turbines for other Skovgaard Invest projects in Denmark, including in Lem Kær, Kikkenborg and Volder Mark, the statement added.

According to Klaus Steen Mortensen, the president of Vestas Northern Europe, the Danish west coast has ideal wind conditions and the company was looking forward to realize another successful project.
