The Hampton Inn to provide additional EV charging facility

The Hampton Inn & Suites Miami Brickell-Downtown has doubled the number of parking spaces equipped with Electric Vehicle (EV) Charging Stations to meet public demand.

In 2012, the Hampton Inn & Suites Miami Brickell-Downtown achieved LEED Silver certification by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) becoming the first LEED certified hotel within City of Miami limits.

There is an increased demand for our EV charging stations nowadays and sometimes all the parking spaces get engaged. Additional number of EV charging stations will provide immediate availability without the need to wait for an empty space, said, Eduardo Chapoval, general manager, Hampton Inn & Suites Miami Brickell-Downtown.

Recently, the Hampton Inn was acknowledged as one of the top 10 Highest-Rated Green hotels in the US by tripadvisor.com according to its Annual Eco-Travel Survey and it has also held the no 1 Ranking among 129 Miami-area properties.

The green initiatives and ratings prove that a hotel can highlight social and environmental responsibility, said, Chapoval.

Located at 50 SW 12th Street in Downtown Miami’s Brickell Financial District, the Hampton Inn & Suites Miami Brickell-Downtown is owned by Hospitality Operations and managed by Tennessee-based management group Hospitality America.
