The
Hamburger investment company CEE announced it has acquired two new photovoltaic
ground-mounted systems from Gehrlicher Solar AG. One of the new solar parks is
located in Ebern in Lower Franconia and the other in Rohr, in southern
Thuringia.

With
this purchase, the total power capacity of the company’s portfolio will
increase to more than 70 megawatts.  The two systems with a total
power capacity of 11.4 MWp have been commissioned in December, 2011. CEE will
be responsible for the business management for both of the parks.

The
Ebern project uses First Solar modules and a nominal capacity of about 7.1
megawatts of solar power will be supplied to the local grid. The 4.3 megawatts
Rohr project uses Sunowe modules. Both parks have been equipped with Siemens
inverters.

Gehrlicher
Solar AG is the project developer, EPC contractor and technical lead operator
for the new ground-mounted systems. CEE has already purchased four photovoltaic
parks from Gehrlicher.

“We
are pleased to implement two more solar parks in Bavaria and Thuringia together
with Gehrlicher Solar, one of our most important partners in the photovoltaic
sector,” said Detlef Schreiber, CEO of CEE.

Gehrlicher Solar AG recently also began construction
on its largest photovoltaic project, a 34 megawatt (MW) system located at
Germany’s former military Perleberg Airport.
