DuPont and JinkoSolar have signed an agreement for strategic collaboration to further the growth and adoption of efficient and reliable solar power.

The agreement is expected to help accelerate the development of advanced materials that can improve power production and make solar energy products more affordable.

The companies would collaborate on the development and supply of advanced materials including DuPont Solamet PV19x series photovoltaic metallization pastes and DuPont Tedlar polyvinyl fluoride films, among other things. Co-marketing collaboration is also expected to happen.

“JinkoSolar has worked successfully with DuPont in the past to help enhance the power output and durability of our solar panels, and we look forward to further advances based on this strategic collaboration,” Kangping Chen, the chief executive officer of JinkoSolar, said.

And, according to Walt Cheng, the managing director of DuPont Electronics and Communications, Greater China, the company “deploys science to help solve some of the world’s most pressing problems, of which the growing global demand for energy is chief. “By collaborating with companies such as JinkoSolar, we can optimize the science of solar technology today,” Cheng said.
