Emeren Group, a solar project developer, has finalized the sale of a 53.6 MWp solar project in Hungary to Kronospan / Douglas Renewables, a manufacturer of wood-based panels.
The portfolio comprises six projects at various developmental stages, with four projects already operational. An additional power plant is slated to begin operations by the end of Q4 2023, while the final project is anticipated to come online by mid-2024. Situated in the municipalities of Torokszentmiklos, Bekesszentandras, Mezotur, and Szolnok in eastern Hungary, these power plants collectively aim to cater to the energy needs of approximately 9,500 households.
The transaction, which received the government approval, concluded at the end of November, marking a significant milestone for Emeren Group’s strategic initiatives in the region, Yumin Liu, CEO of Emeren Group, said.
