GEMCO Solar constructs 250 kW AC, 310 kW DC roof top solar photovoltaic system in Kingston

By Greenteh Lead America: GEMCO Solar, a solar
developer and EPC Contractor, announced the construction of a 250 kW AC, 310 kW
DC roof top solar photovoltaic system in Kingston, ON. This is the largest roof
top solar project in Kingston.

The solar PV facility is hosted on the rooftop of a
building located at 640 Cataraqui Woods Drive, owned by Norsecan Properties, a
real estate investment company headquartered in Kingston.

The project was built as part of GEMCO’s roof lease
program in partnership with Fovere Investments, a private capital management
firm with specific expertise in real estate, private equity and Clean-tech
Solar Infrastructure investments.

The project comprised of 1,183 roof top solar
photovoltaic panels. The project will generate approximately 355 MWh of
electricity per year. The solar installation is expected to offset a
conservative annual 70 metric tons of CO2e (Green House Gases) or the
equivalent savings of 30,000 Liters of gasoline.

Fovere investments, whose objective is to accumulate
renewable energy generation assets, will be the owner of the system.
