Energy efficient photovoltaic technology provider ReneSola has acquired development rights for 22.5 MW capacity of ground-mounted, utility-scale solar projects in Japan.

Most projects in the lot are to commence production and be grid-connected beginning in late 2015 and early 2016. The projects will utilize photovoltaic modules of Renesola, specifically the company’s top-rated Virtus II module.

Renesola plans to continue its expansion in downstream projects in Japan.
