Poznan, a Poland-based 3D printer manufacturer Omni3d has developed a wind turbine namely AirEnergy 3D, that can generate up to 300W of electricity.

This foldable turbine can fit into a backpack and is very helpful for campers and travelers.

The electricity generated is enough to power smartphones, laptops, light bulbs and other small appliances.

If Omni3D gets its crowd funded AirEnergy 3D off the ground, this wind turbine will be able to charge laptops and small devices easily, which is not available in other normal backpack alternative energy resources.

The 300W of power produced is enough to keep essential devices running through out a day for a camper which will not run normally on solar or thermoelectric systems.

The team behind this discovery also intends to provide people in Africa and other developing regions with renewable power sources.

The first consignment of AirEnergy 3D models will be launched in market in February with an introductory price of £290 ($484). The team expects to bring the cost of a basic production model down to $350.
