SunShare provide free solar power to Denver school students

The founder of SunShare, jointly with Denver Mayor Michael B. Hancock has announced a new program to provide free solar energy to all families of Academy 360 public charter school.

The program was attended by the principal of school along with a dozen kindergarten students.

SunShare is providing green, sustainable solar energy to all families. It contributes to a healthy environment, and money saved on electricity bills by these families can be spend on healthier foods, books and other essential family needs, said, Sally Sorte, principal, Academy 360.

In case of Denver, the goal is to create livable communities by providing the opportunities residents need to inject sustainable practices into their daily lives. With Community Solar, lots of people can enjoy the benefits of clean, renewable solar energy, commented, Mayor Hancock.

SunShare, through this donation is honoring the spirit and intent of Colorado’s landmark Community Solar law, and Academy 360 is a better partner for this ,noted, David Amster-Olszewski, founder, SunShare.

In addition, the school is launching a fundraising program so that all families can offset their entire energy bill.

Under this program, SunShare will provide free solar energy from its Denver County Solar Garden.

The construction of Solar Garden will begin soon and families can avail their reductions in bills by early spring.

Shortly, the SunShare employees will begin the signing up program with families so that they can start receiving solar energy as soon as the Solar Garden is online.
