The American Solar Energy Society (ASES) announces that the annual grassroots solar event will be held October 4-5, 2014.
Participants will have an opportunity to see new and innovative technologies that benefit the environment on a global level.
The ASES National Solar Tour is the largest solar event in the nation, involving over 150,000 participants and 5,000 solar-energy sites nationwide.
As part of the tour, visiting homes will allow attendees to learn, engage and involve actively in the energy challenges solution.
Besides, this is a chance to have a look at innovative green homes and buildings, and understand practical technologies, that profit the environment, becoming an integral part of the nation’s energy challenges as well as solutions.
It is hoped that, the tour will inspire visitors to make sustainable energy choices that manage power outages, reduce costs, offer energy independence and minimize carbon emissions.
This event is coordinated by American Solar Energy Society in collaboration with dozens of partner organizations. It takes place annually during the first Saturday in October in conjunction with National Energy Awareness Month.
