Tempress Systems, a subsidiary of Amtech has received a multi-million dollar order for its solar equipment.
The solar equipment includes PECVD, which will be used for implementing n-type bifacial cell technology in the production line of the second phase of Mission Solar Energy’s cell.
The shipping of cells is expected to commence within the next six months.
The innovative technology solutions are clearly bringing value to the customers. The order includes the PECVD system, an important strategic product developed during the solar down cycle, stated, Fokko Pentinga, CEO, Amtech.
The system is designed to support the solar growth opportunity during the next recovery cycle and provides the opportunity to double the size of the company’s served available market, pointed out, Pentinga.
Its ongoing objective is to bring technology solutions to the market to increase cell efficiency at lower cost, he added.
