RP Global and Marguerite Successfully Finalize Sale of Wind Farms to ENGIE Zielona Energia

RP Global, a prominent player in Poland’s renewable energy sector, in collaboration with Marguerite, a leading pan-European investor and co-shareholder holding 49.99 percent stake, has concluded the sale of two wind farms boasting a total capacity of 103 MW to ENGIE Zielona Energia. The transaction, officially sealed on July 28, 2023, received the green light from Poland’s Office of Competition and Consumer Protection, facilitating a seamless and successful handover.

The wind farms, strategically situated in Northern Poland in Tychowo and Kukinia, have long been operational, showcasing their effectiveness and efficiency. The Tychowo wind farm, established in 2009, comprises 20 Nordex N90 turbines, while the Kukinia wind farm, commissioned in 2013, features 23 Enercon E-82 turbines.

This deal underscores the value generated by RP Global through the dedicated efforts of its development, construction, and operations and maintenance teams. As part of its evolving strategy, RP Global aims to finance new projects, diversifying its renewable energy asset portfolio across Poland and beyond.

Looking ahead, Poland remains a core market for RP Global, with an expansive pipeline of over 2,700 MW encompassing wind and PV projects at various stages of development. RP Global’s focus spans across solar PV, wind, hydropower, green hydrogen, and storage solutions.

Presently, the company is actively progressing a pipeline amounting to approximately 15 GW, firmly establishing its commitment to sustainable energy initiatives. With headquarters based in Vienna, Austria, and Madrid, Spain, RP Global continues to drive the transition towards a greener and more sustainable future.
