Vestas, a leader in wind energy solutions, has clinched a significant order from Energa Green Development, a subsidiary of ORLEN Group, for the Szybowice project situated in Opolskie, Poland.

The order entails the supply, delivery, and commissioning of 17 V110-2.0 MW wind turbines configured in 2.2 MW power mode. Upon completion, Vestas will oversee the servicing of these turbines under a 25-year Active Output Management 5000 (AOM 5000) service agreement aimed at ensuring optimal performance of the assets.

Nils de Baar, President of Vestas Northern & Central Europe, said: “Last year, ORLEN and we announced the collaboration for the Baltic Power Offshore wind farm, which was the first order for our V236-15.0MW wind turbine, and it’s great to see that this partnership also continues for an onshore project.”

Delivery of the wind turbines from Vestas is slated to commence in the third quarter of 2025, with commissioning scheduled for completion in the fourth quarter of the same year.
